September 11 attacks

The September 11 attacks (commonly called 9/11 "nine eleven") were a series of terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 by Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda on locations in the United States. Four passenger airplanes were hijacked and flown into buildings in New York City, New York and Washington, D.C. After the attacks, 2,977 people had died[1] (excluding the 19 hijackers), and over 6,000 had been injured.
