A Filo.news article noted that there are several theories about the origin of this word, but the “true” one is that it is an apocope of “paquidermo” (“pachyderm” or pachydermatous”) “invented” by lesbians in the 1960s “because heterosexuality, according to them, is clumsy and boring in bed.”
