From Arabic مَجُوسِيّ‎ (majūsiyy, “of or related to Zoroastrians”), مَجُوس‎ (majūs, “Magians, Zoroastrians”), from Aramaic 𐡌𐡂𐡅𐡔‎ (mgwš), from Old Persian 𐎶𐎦𐎢𐏁 (maguš).[1]
