- Yī dān shí, yī dòu gēng, dé zhī zé shēng, fú dé zé sǐ. Hū ěr ér yǔ zhī, xíng dào zhī rén fú shòu; cù ěr ér yǔ zhī, qǐrén bù xiè yě. [Pinyin]
- A bit of food contained by a bamboo container, a bit of soup in a bowl, if a person gets it then he will live, if he doesn’t receive it then he will die. If you shout in a bad attitude while giving food, pedestrians/ the homeless will not accept; if you trample on the food while giving the food, beggars will not stoop to get the food.
