Usage notes

Some morphemes considered to be 接続助詞 in traditional Japanese grammar, such as ば (ba) and て (te), are suffixes from a western linguistic view. This is shown by rōmaji: 読(よ)めば (yomeba) is considered two words in traditional Japanese grammar, but it is romanized as yomeba instead of yome ba.
