Etymology

Borrowed from English iron.[1][2][3][4][5] This form is partly a transliteration, compared to the pure transcription form アイアン (aian). Compare other examples of "pseudo-transcriptions", such as カーソル (kāsoru), オーストラリア (Ōsutoraria), マニア (mania), アナル (anaru), etc.
