From a blend of ܐܲܚܢܲܢ (aḥnan, we) + Aramaic אַנְתְּוּן (ʾantūn), from Proto-Semitic *ʔantum; compare Classical Syriac ܐܢܬܘܢ (ʾattōn), Arabic أَنْتُمْ (ʔantum), Hebrew אֲתֶּם (atém) and Akkadian 𒀜𒌅𒉡 (attunu).
