חרש

From the root ח־ר־שׁ‎ (ḥ-r-sh), ultimately from Proto-Semitic *ḥaraθ-. Compare Arabic حَرَثَ‎ (ḥaraṯa, “to plow, to farm”).

חָרַשׁ • (kharásh) third-singular masculine past (pa'al construction)

4. (slang) To study thoroughly.
