համար

From Old Armenian համար (hamar, “number”). The sense "for" is attested already in Old Armenian ի համար (i hamar), ի համարի (i hamari, “for, on account of”). The sense "room" is a semantic loan from Russian но́мер (nómer).

Old Georgian ჰამარი (hamari) is borrowed from the same source, possibly via Armenian.
