Etymology
A specialized meaning of unattested *բող (*boł, “plant, sprout”), from Proto-Indo-European *bʰol- from *bʰleh₃-. The *բող (*boł) can be seen in բողբոջ (bołboǰ, “shoot, sprout; bud”) and dialectal բոխի (boxi, “a kind of bitter field-plant”), բոխ (box, “tree shoot with buds used as animal feed”), բոխալ (boxal, “to sprout”), probably also բոխի (boxi, “hornbeam”).
