From Classical Mongolian ᠮᠠᠨ᠋ᠠᠶᠢᠬᠢ (manayiqi), from Middle Mongol [Term?], from Proto-Mongolic *man-u-ki; equivalent to манай (manaj, “our”, first-person plural possessive determiner) + -х (-x).
