Etymology
From Proto-Mordvinic *kavtə, from Proto-Uralic *kakta~*käktä (“two”). Cognates include Moksha кафта (kafta), Finnish kaksi (kahte-), Lule Sami guokta, Eastern Mari кок (kok), Udmurt кык (kyk), Hungarian két, kettő.
