From Proto-Turkic *bil- (“to know”)[1].
Cognate with Old Turkic 𐰋𐰃𐰠 (bil-, “to know”)[2]; Uzbek bilmoq (“to know”), Turkish bilmek (“to know”), Yakut бил (bil, “to know, to find out”), Chuvash пĕл (pĕl, “to know”), etc.
