The Tower of London is a former fortress on the banks of the Thames in England. It was built in 1066 by William the Conqueror. Notable events include the murder of the two young princes, and the execution of Anne Boleyn. Over the centuries, the Tower earned the reputation of being a place of torture and oppression.
