Stanisław II August (born Stanisław Antoni Poniatowski, 17 January 1732 – 12 February 1798), or Stanislaus II Augustus, was the last King of Poland and Grand Duke of Lithuania from 1764 to 1795. he was forced into three partitions of Poland in 1772, 1793 and 1795. He abdicated after signing the third partition.
