Slovak or Slovakian (slovenĨina) is an Slavic language, spoken in Eastern Europe. Slovak is spoken by 5.2 million people, whom most live in Slovakia. It is the official language of Slovakia and one of the official languages of the European Union. Slovak is also an official language in the Serbian region of Vojvodina. It is recognized as minority language in Poland and Hungary.

Slovak has many similarities with the Czech language and less similarities with the Polish language. Slovak uses the Latin alphabet.
