The noble pen shell, or fan mussel (scientific name : Pinna nobilis) is a shell, that lives in Mediterranean Sea. It can live up to 40 years old, and reach up to 1.20 meters, therefore it is one of the biggest shells in the world, the second biggest indeed after the giant clam.
