Macedonian language

Where Macedonian is spoken
Macedonian (македонски) is a Slavic language, spoken by 2.5 million people. It is one of the two official languages of North Macedonia, alongside with Albanian. Macedonian is recognized as a minority language in Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Romania. The language is also spoken in Greece and Bulgaria.
Macedonian and Bulgarian are very similar to each other. That's why some linguist argue that the two languages are the same language. Macedonian is a bit different than Bulgarian, for Macedonian was influenced by the Serbo-Croatian language. This was the most important language in former Yugoslavia. After the breakup and independence, the North Macedonian constitution sais Macedonian is his own language.
