German Empire (German: Deutsches Kaiserreich), is an state in Europe, existed since the reunification of Germany in 1871 until 1918, when the throne was abandoned by Emperor Wilhelm II. The German Empire was a constitutional monarchy and a federation composed of monarchies and free cities.
