Frankfurt am Main

Frankfurt am Main, also known as Frankfurt, is a city in Germany, located in the federal state of Hesse. Frankfurt is the five-largest city of Germany with 746,000 inhabitants. The river Main flows through the city.

Frankfurt is since the last enlargement of the European Union the geographical centre of the EU. A lot of businesses and banks have their office space in Frankfurt. Therefore Frankfurt has a very modern skyline. The European Central Bank (ECB), who produces and checks the euro and member states of the Eurozone, is seated in Frankfurt.
