Despotate of Morea

The despotate of Morea in 1450, divided between the two brothers Thomas and Demetrios II Palaiologus.
The Despotate of Morea was a more or less independent province of the Byzantine Empire. This state existed from 1349 to 1460, when it was invaded by the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II. Its ruler was the despot, who was often a member of the family of the Byzantine emperor.
