The United States Congress holds the legislative power in the United States. It is made up to 2 chambers , the House of Representatives , and the Senate. The Congress is currently compound of 535 members.

The House of Representatives is made up of 435 representatives elected for a 4-years term and ruled by a speaker. The Senate is made up 100 senators (2 by state) elected for a 6-years term. The American Senate is directly presided by the vice president of the United States.

The congress has been founded in 1788.
