Brad Pitt

William Bradley "Brad" Pitt is an American actor and movie producer.
Early years
Pitt was born on December 18, 1963, in Oklahoma, the son of a trucking company owner. Pitt was raised a Southern Baptist, but states that he has little to do with any religion.
Pitt enrolled at the University of Missouri in 1982, but left two weeks before graduation to take acting lessons in Los Angeles. He worked odd jobs.
Marriages

Pitt married Jennifer Aniston in 2000. They divorced in October 2005. Following the divorce, Pitt lived with actress Angelina Jolie. Pitt and Jolie have three biological children and three adopted children.
Career
Pitt played small roles in movies and on television programs. He gained noticed when he appeared in Thelma & Louise (1991). He gained more notice, but not good notice, with his performance in Interview with the Vampire (1994). Critics thought he was incapable of grasping the depth of the character he was portraying.
In 1995, he appeared in 12 Monkeys. He won a Golden Globe Award for Best Supporting Actor and received his first Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. In 1999, he appeared in Fight Club to good reviews, and in 2004 he appeared in Troy, also to good reviews. In 2014, he had a minor role in 12 Years a Slave, the year's Best Picture.
Awards and honors
Pitt has received a Golden Globe Award, a Screen Actors Guild Award, and three Academy Award nominations in acting categories, and received two further Academy Award nominations, winning one, for productions of his film production company Plan B Entertainment.
